Accessibility at Gabrella Manor: What to Know

Every guest matters on your wedding day, and for many couples, that means thinking through how loved ones with mobility needs will experience the celebration. As a historic estate, Gabrella Manor has its own character and charm, and we've worked to make sure that charm doesn't come at the expense of access. Here's what to know as you plan for your guests.

Getting to the House

The front drive offers a wheelchair accessible area and is always available, no advance notice needed. If you'd rather guests enter through the back, there's a ramp up to the back entrance as well. There is one small step at that back entrance, but we keep a wheelchair ramp on hand for it. Just let us know ahead of time if you'd like that option set up so it's ready to go.

Inside the House

The main level of the house is fully wheelchair accessible, including our restrooms. We have two large restrooms downstairs designed to be wheelchair accessible, so guests won't need to search far or wait on a single option.

The one thing to know: the upstairs and the lower level of the Great Room are not wheelchair accessible. If a guest primarily needs the main level for their visit, they'll be fully covered. If they'll want to move between floors, it's worth planning around ahead of time.

Ceremony and Reception

Every ceremony area at Gabrella Manor can be accessed by wheelchair. We'll also leave an open space, without a chair, wherever works best for that guest, so they're seated comfortably as part of the group rather than off to the side.

The same goes for reception seating. If you let us know ahead of time, we're happy to adjust seating to make sure wheelchair users are positioned wherever feels right for your layout.

A Few Things to Plan For

We don't currently offer vision or hearing services on-site (interpreters, assistive listening devices, and similar accommodations), so if a guest will need those, that's something to arrange independently ahead of the day.

Planning Ahead

The short version: our front drive and main level, including restrooms and all ceremony spaces, are accessible any time, no heads-up required. The back entrance ramp for the small step just needs a little advance notice so we can have it ready.

If you have guests with specific accessibility needs, we always encourage you to loop us in as early as possible. The more we know ahead of time, the more we can tailor the small details, from where the back ramp goes to how reception seating is arranged, so every guest feels comfortable and included.
